Yoga encompasses the 8 limbs of the practice. Perhaps you practice certain ones diligently or find yourself dabbling to do your best in all of them, but the idea that yoga is purely asana – the 3rd limb, needs to end. I’ve personally never seen anyone reaching nirvana or enlightenment through a downward facing dog, but I have through another limb – Dhyana, the 7th limb of yoga.
This is the practice of concentration through meditation. So often the ego, who is the master of distraction takes over and is constantly doing, rushing, multitasking – anything in its power to not be present. When you sit, you spend time with your higher self in order to reach Samadhi, which is really the goal of yoga. But how can you stay without technique, training and understanding the formula that works for you?
Stillness Through Amplifying Yoga is a 7-day meditation journey into understanding the contents of your psyche. The course will teach you techniques that will shift how you currently deal with specific emotions and ask you to look at unconscious behavior, patterns and stories with a mindful, introspective and tender perspective.
Take this week to get to know yourself, to sit with what needs to arise with an attentive and curious manner.
