What time does the retreat start and end?
The retreat starts at 6pm on Saturday, July 27th and ends at 12pm on Friday, August 2nd 2019.
When should I arrive in Sicily?
We recommend arriving the day of or a day before and staying on the island so that you can have time to unwind, get over jet lag and more easily jump right into the first evening of the retreat with the group. After the retreat we recommend staying in Italy and discovering Rome, Florence or Venice.
Do I have to participate in all activities?
This is YOUR retreat, you’re never required to do any of the activities and you will have plenty of free time to explore and relax on your own.
Can you pick me up at the airport?
Please let us know your travel booking info and we can arrange complimentary airport shuttle pickup. Please note this service is complimentary for those arriving ONLY on July 27th.
Do I have to have yoga and meditation experience to go?
Absolutely not, but know that by the end of the trip, you will fall in love with the practice. All of the classes will be suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners.
What airport do I fly into?
Nearest airports are Catania Fontanarossa or Comiso. British Airways, Alitalia, Easyjet, Iberia and Ryanair have daily flights to Catania Fontanarossa from Europe. Expect a 90min car journey to the estate.
Which airline should I book a flight from?
If you are arriving from the US, we highly suggest booking from Alitalia, British Airways or Virgin. Flights are NOT included on this retreat.
What does this retreat include?
Once you book, the retreat includes accommodation, 2 meals per day, airport transfer to/from (only arriving day of and leaving final day), all classes and workshops.
If I am coming with another person, can we split the retreat cost?
Retreat costs are per person. If you wish to share a room with the person you’re coming with, you can make a roommate request once you have booked.
Do I have to bring my own yoga mat?
Yoga mats and meditation cushions along with all props will be provided at the retreat center. You are welcome to bring your own mat if you wish.
What will a typical day look like?
You can participate in the retreat activities as much as you like and move at your own pace. We’ve carefully crafted a schedule to give you plenty of daily practice, free time, group mingling and options to participate in traditional Italian nature excursions, cooking classes and wine tatsing. A typical day will consist of a 2hr morning practice, breakfast, free time, 90 minute evening practice, followed by dinner, and evening mingling time. The exact daily schedule will be sent out 2 weeks before the retreat begins.
